AWARD WINNING FLORAL DESIGNER THROUGH TO 2010 FINALS @ RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW

Award winning Trugs Floral Designers in South Street are through to the finals of the RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year' for 2010 for the second year running.  Catherine Date scooped the coveted silver award for the ‘over 25's' at this year's event, the first of its kind launched by The Royal Horticultural Society in association with the British Florist Association. Catherine beat off stiff competition at the regional Hub Heat with her design of a 'funeral tribute for a keen gardener' in Indian summer colours using a selection of Nerines, Dahlias, Cyclamen plants and Physalis (Chinese lanterns) on a silver birch frame.

Catherine Date, Designer @ Trugs said: "I was extremely pleased to know that I am going through to the finals again.  It is all very exciting and having got Silver this year, it makes me all the more determined to go for Gold next time."

Ed Moorman Director/Owner of Trugs together with fellow designer Sophie Astridge (who got through to the finals this year with Catherine) are both due to represent Trugs in the regional hub being held at Bristol early next year.

Ed Moorman Director/Owner Trugs Floral Designers said: "The competition at Chelsea Flower Show showcased the very best in professional retail floristry and it was a proud moment for us when Catherine received the Silver Award.  I am delighted that Catherine is through to the finals to represent Trugs yet again and am very proud to have such a very talented team who are innovative and creative.  Sophie and I are looking forward to our regional hub in Bristol which is due to take place in

January/February next year.   It is all good timing for the future of

the business as we are about to launch our brand new website where clients can order bespoke floral displays on-line from local award winning designers."
