Chamber membership goes from strength to strength

Marsh Barton Forum merges with the Chamber
Membership has more than doubled at Exeter Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the last decade reflecting the strength of the city's leading business organisation. In the past four years membership has grown from 306 in 2004 to 445 members in 2008 - a 45% increase.

In an exciting development, the Marsh Barton Forum has decided to merge with the Chamber. MBF members will now receive automatic Chamber membership enabling the organisation to benefit from the influential voice of the Chamber.

Derek Phillips, Chamber Chairman said, 'We are delighted to welcome the Marsh Barton Forum members to the Chamber. It's very important in a city the size of Exeter that the interests of all sectors of the business community are fully considered in any decision making process that effect long-term economic prospects. This development will further strengthen the Chamber and its broad cross-section membership.
