Exeter Chamber celebrates record number of members

   

Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently celebrating record member numbers. 13 new members were recruited during and after Business South West which took place at Exeter Westpoint last month, making the current number of members stand at 478 - the highest figure to date.

This time last year the Chamber had 448 members - the current figure is a 6% year on year increase. In January 2008 there were 381 members - a 20% increase.

One new member is former BBC radio and ITV News and Sport presenter Mark Tyler who has recently set up his own independent production and PR company, 'Sound and Vision Media'. Mark says, ‘I can't wait to fully engage with the Exeter business community. I've lived here all my life, and I'm really excited about running a company in the heart of the City. The response I've had so far has been fantastic and there seems to be a real bond between local businesses'.    

Derek Phillips, Chairman of Exeter Chamber said, ‘We are extremely pleased and very encouraged by the record number of Chamber members. We would like to welcome all the new businesses that have recently joined and look forward to their involvement.'
