  • Devon In Sight - Charity launches mobile road shows

    Devon in Sight formerly known as Devon County Association for the Blind launches its first road show on Saturday 19th November at Paignton Library 10 am - 3 pm. It will provide an insight in to the work, plans and equipment used by the charity to help the visually impaired people of Devon. Bill Pertwee MBE of Dad's Army fame will make his first appearance as the newly appointed Vice Patron for the charity at 2 pm.
    The charity is joined by many other companies, charities and organisations.
  • Devon In Sight - SIGHT CHARITY WINS NATIONAL AWARD

    2006 Apprentice finalist Ruth Badger presents Devon in Sight with a Special Initiative Award at the Visionary conference held for charities across the UK working to improve lives of people with visual impairment. Visionary,formerly (NALSVI) hosted the event at York University. The newly created category unexpectedly announced at the event was awarded to Devon in Sight in recognition of the hard work it is carried out over the last 12 months.

    Award winning Devon in Sight based in Topsham which supports the visually impaired people across the County, announces that they have newly elected Lady Devon as Patron and veteran actor Bill Pertwee MBE of Dad's Army fame as Vice Patron of the charity.
