    WESC Foundation - The Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment announces the appointment of local celebrity, Judi Spiers as its first Ambassador. A school and college for children, young people and adults with sight loss based in Topsham Road, Exeter, was established 176 years ago. The charity made the announcement of its new Ambassador, at a private event held for 20 guests in the ?Dart Room?, overlooking the finishing line at Exeter Racecourse at the ?Family Day? race day.

    The ?BEST Charity Pub Quiz? hosted by the WESC Foundation at the School Hall at their Topsham Road site, attracted over 100 entrants from the local business community.Sponsored by Thomas Westcott, the event was part of a focused fundraising campaign to raise much needed funds for a new mechanical horse and riding sessions for disabled learners.     Children?s Hospice South West (CHSW), with two City-Centre shops was delighted to receive funds of over £5700 presented by Wealth Management Company, Brewin Dolphin, Exeter office. The money will go towards the general care budget and could fund the food bill at the Barnstaple hospice, Little Bridge House, for six weeks.
