We Care Campaign – Work Scheme - Exeter Chamber of Commerce and Industry - supporting your business

We Care is a campaign run by the Express & Echo in support of thousands of carers selflessly looking after a loved one. Some of these carers will be balancing work with caring. The Echo is appealing to businesses to ask themselves if they know who in their company is also a carer, and to offer them support. We would also like employers to consider offering even a few weekly hours of regular work to adults with a disability. The Echo can put you in touch with organisations that will make sure you meet the right people for these tasks. Without work many people get depressed and frustrated, and this impacts on the lives of their carers as well. Lastly, we are asking businesses to sign up to our manifesto, on www.thisisexeter.co.uk/wecare and give their support to the Echo's aims.
