Whittle’s Wonders reign supreme in Chamber Charity Golf Day!

After an eighteen year break, the winning golf team of Adrian Whittle, Keith Mason and Jeff Boyne, known as Whittle's Wonders of Teignmouth, scooped the championship title and famous Chamber Pot trophy at the 2008 Chamber Charity Golf Day, organised by Exeter Chamber of Commerce & Industry at Teign Valley Golf Club.  

Twenty teams of three golfers apiece took part in the lively, well fought tournament sponsored by O2, last staged in 1990.    

Nic Ferrigno, O2 Business Manager said, 'O2 are delighted to have sponsored this great event for such a worthwhile charity as Exeter Leukaemia Fund. Let's not leave it 18 years before the next one!'

A cheque for £1000 was presented to Chamber member Exeter Leukaemia Fund who celebrate their 21st anniversary year of support to the South West community and Haematology Centre at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. 

Derek Philips Chairman Exeter Chamber of Commerce said, ‘We had a very successful event and pleased to support such a worthwhile cause.  There was a great atmosphere helped of course by some wonderful weather and excellent golf!'
