buysellprosper
Support for small businesses in the Exeter economy during the ongoing recession comes in the form of a new website to be launched on Monday 7 December.
This initiative has been coordinated by Exeter City Council on behalf of its partners and in collaboration with Exeter Business Support, Business Link, Exeter Chamber of Commerce and the Exeter Federation of Small Business.
The website: www.exeterbuysellprosper.co.uk will actively encourage officers and those making buying decisions in local public sector and large employers (particularly for contracts that do not need to go out to formal tendering) to buy from local small businesses. Those who have already signed up to this initiative are:
- Exeter City Council
- Devon County Council
- Met Office
- Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
- Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust
- Exeter College
- University of Exeter
- Devon and Cornwall Police
Although the launch of the website does not take place until 7 December, any local businesses can add their details in advance of this date and are positively encouraged to do so. Simply go to www.exeterbuysellprosper.co.uk and click on the logo at the foot of the second column and register your business in the appropriate category/ categories.
