South West Communications Group has put pen to paper to renew its main sponsorship deal with Exeter Chiefs for a further three years.

The Exeter-based telephone systems, data networks and Internet service provider is preparing to celebrate its 20th year of sponsorship of the Aviva Premiership club and this deal will see “sw comms” firmly in place on the shirts until the end of the 2015/16 season.

Exeter Chiefs kick off the 2013/14 season this weekend with an away trip to Franklin’s Gardens to play last season’s finalists Northampton Saints and their first home game is against London Wasps on Saturday, September 14.

Chiefs finished sixth in the Aviva Premiership last season and qualified for the Heineken Cup for a second year in a row with pool games against champions Toulon, Glasgow Warriors and Cardiff Blues in store this season.

Harry Langley, South West Communications Group’s managing director, said: “Exeter Chiefs and South West Communications Group have grown up together and we are delighted to continue to share in the success of this partnership. We are proud to be associated with them for everything they represent in club rugby terms, but also for the positive effect they have on our city, Devon and the South West.

“This season is already lining up to be an exciting one with a new broadcaster on board and a chance to play the reigning Heineken Cup champions. We are more than happy to join them for the journey and we, and all their faithful fans, will be supporting them every step of the way.”
