The place to be in January

Despite the fact that it will soon feel too cold to be going out, there’s only one place for you to be in January – the Giving & Living trade show.  As a retailer you know that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, followed shortly by Mothers’ Day, then the summer.  Taking place from Sunday 15th January to Wednesday 18th January, at the Westpoint Exhibition Centre, Exeter, the show is perfectly timed for retailers to stock up for the year ahead of those key seasonal buying occasions, and even beyond.  Suppliers know this too, which is why companies such as Zamsoe, Country House Cards, Welink, Cole, Proctor & Clark, Baggee, Sawley Fine Arts, Sea Gems and Ashwood Gifts are all launching new products at the show.  It’s your opportunity to see the very latest new and exclusive 2017 gift & homeware product ranges before anyone else.

Giving & Living is also THE show for buyers from retail outlets and attractions on or near the Coast, and for those that are keen to order coastal merchandise to target the holidaymaker.  The show has always had a fine selection of products ideal for this market and, new for this year, the show will have its very own Coastal Path which will lead you around the show to find the exhibitors that are perfect for your business, like Nauticalia, The Puffin Man Cards & Prints, Sapooni, Beach Art Glass, and Elgate Products, who are launching a whole new range of Coastal products at the show.

The 2017 show will bring together up to 250 exhibitors and 3000+ retail buyers.  Amongst the familiar faces at the show, such as History & Heraldry, Richard Lang & Son, Half Moon Bay, Dunnon, Dolphin Minerals and Arora Design, are many companies that are new to the show.  For the first time you can see the beach goods & toys from Palgrave, the stylish bags & tea towels from Go Jute, the delicious sweets & chocolates from Treats with a Twist, the decorative melamine giftware & dinnerware from Melamaster, and the unique colourful greetings cards and coasters from Bridget Wilkinson.  With two halls to explore, and four days in which to do so, Giving & Living makes buying an enjoyable experience.

Special show features include a Newcomer’s area especially for new companies who have yet to exhibit at a trade show.  The show offers special rates for these exhibitors, like Pottery Box, Moocow Studios and Claire Vaughan Designs, giving them the chance to showcase their products to retailers. It’s a great opportunity to spot emerging talent and products before your competitors.

The Designed & Made in Britain area is dedicated to unusual products of quality & authenticity, such as the wildlife sculptures from Oriele Bronze & Glass, the hand cast high quality stone statues from Devonshire Stone, and the decorative handmade etched glassware from Four Hands Etched Glass.  Many of these exhibitors only exhibit at Giving & Living, giving retailers exclusive access to locally produced items that discerning customers will love.

For retailers in search of products with a strong ethical and/or environmental background, the show attracts a range of exhibitors with the right credentials, including Purbeck Candles, Batik Indah, Glebe Cottage, Gringo Imports and Silver Jewellery Cavern.  These ‘Naturally’ companies will be clearly identified at the show, offering retailers the chance to track down products that are in keeping with their brand values.

Giving and Living has it all.  From gifts that can be personalised for your venue, to those that reflect the UK’s unique heritage, there’s a huge range of gifts & homewares on show. Giving and Living presents an unrivalled selection of products for retail buyers, from bags to books, cards to clothing, maps to mugs, soaps to sculpture, at a wide range of price points.  Whether retailers are from large tourist attractions looking for high volume, or small independent outlets looking for that little something that is unique and different, Giving & Living will deliver.
