South West Communications Group has become a Microsoft Authorised Education Partner (AEP), demonstrating its ability to meet education customers’ ever-evolving needs.
To earn a Microsoft AEP authorisation, partners must complete a test to prove their level of education licensing and market expertise.
The AEP programme is designed to train participating resellers on Microsoft’s academic licensing, authorise them to purchase and resell them and demonstrate to potential customers that they are approved and knowledgeable education partners.
swcomms already provides a full range of communications services to schools, colleges and universities, including internet connectivity, web filtering, data networks, WiFi and telephone systems.
John Holdstock, swcomms’ ICT director, said: “This Microsoft AEP authorisation shows our commitment and specialism in the education IT marketplace and demonstrates our knowledge of Microsoft and its academic products.
“We hope to accelerate our education customers’ successes by serving as technology advisors for their IT requirements.”
Anthony Salcito, vice president of education for Microsoft Corp’s worldwide public sector, said: “By becoming AEPs, partners show themselves to be committed and trained in providing discounted Microsoft academic products to the education market.
“This authorisation, along with our other education partner initiatives, gives our partners recognition of their areas of expertise and our academic customers the confidence that they are buying from academic IT specialists.”
As an AEP, swcomms can help schools, colleges and universities migrate to Microsoft services, such as Office 365, or can support their ongoing Microsoft requirements. We can also offer discounted pricing for education customers.
