Leadership without words: How the art of the conductor transfers to other walks of life with Ken Woods, Principal Conductor of the English Symphony Orchestra

Wednesday, 15th November 2017, from 5pm at the Exeter Science Park Centre

Woods, who has derived worldwide acclaim for his work as a conductor, rock guitarist, cellist, author and classical music blogger, will illuminate the mysterious and often misunderstood art of the orchestral conductor as it pertains to other forms of leadership and communication.

What is conducting and why does it work? How important are the nonverbal aspects of conducting? Does it matter who a conductor is, or just what they do? And how do the leadership strategies of the conductor transfer to other walks of life?

Woods will answer these questions, and others, about music and conducting in a fun and fast-paced session full of music and humour.
