Tech specialist and business transformation expert Clodagh Murphy has been announced as the new chairman of the Exeter Initiative for Science and Technology, a sub-group of Exeter Chamber.

Ms Murphy has previously held positions as chief executive at Eclipse Internet and chief operating officer at Timico Services Group, a Midlands based internet service provider.  She took up the voluntary position at the beginning of February and has also been appointed as a board member of Exeter Chamber.

Ms Murphy said: “ExIST has been going strong for seven and a half years in Exeter supporting and facilitating the STEMM community.  Over the coming years I would like to build on this ensuring that we are ‘joining the dots’ where possible.  Coming from a business background and knowing how hard it is to run and grow a business, I am particularly keen to engage with this community and do everything we can to help them with any challenges they may face.”

ExIST runs regular events showcasing the city’s talent in the STEMM sectors and publishes a quarterly magazine, ExIST Insight, with interviews and features on science, technology and innovation leaders in Greater Exeter.
