Exeter’s largest housing association, Cornerstone, is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive to succeed Rick Williams, who retires as one of the country’s longest serving chief executives after 26 years in post and 34 years with the organisation.

Tom Woodman is joining from another housing association, Livewest, where he was Executive Director of Strategy and Performance and had previously held a number of roles with the association (formerly known as Devon and Cornwall HA).

Speaking of his new role, which he will take up in January 2020 Tom says;

“I’m really pleased to be joining Cornerstone – it’s a great organisation that puts housing people first and focuses on quality homes and services. Rick will be a hard act to follow, and I’m looking forward to working with customers, the staff team and the board to create the next phase in Cornerstone’s future."

Cornerstone is also pleased to announce that alongside Tom’s appointment, Joanne Martin, the recently appointed Finance Director, has been named as Deputy Chief Executive.
