Top up Grant Fund Scheme
On 2nd May the Government announced their latest measure to support businesses and the economy through the current coronavirus restriction measures.
A further £617 million will be made available through local authorities to support businesses with ongoing fixed property-related costs. This includes; businesses in shared spaces, regular market traders, small charity properties and Bed and Breakfasts paying council tax rather than business rates.
The council team will now need to work through the guidance once issued and develop the process for assessing business priority and need. We will make further announcements on how the scheme will be managed, along with application processes once these have been developed. We are asking that you please do not contact us relating to the scheme at this time, as we do not have any further information to share.
The full announcement can be found here.
