At St Sidwell’s Community Centre (www.stsidwells.org.uk) we are fundraising to relocate and expand our community Bakehouse and Cookery School.
We already run a sourdough micro-bakery and community cookery school from the Centre, but we have run out of space to meet demand for volunteering and training opportunities as well as for our bread.
We will be transforming 178/179 Sidwell Street from a dusty, disused retail unit into a thriving community space: the project will create new jobs, new training opportunities and new volunteering opportunities open to all, as well as much needed COVID-safe operational space.
Donations of time, money, equipment and skills will all help towards practical costs of the move, including installing essential three-phase electrics, plumbing, an accessible loo, moving the existing bread ovens and mixer and some TLC to create a welcoming space.
