The Digital Skills Partnership is looking for two new chairs from the Private or Third Sector to chair the following sub groups:-
Digital Professional – looking to take forward digital initiatives for digital professionals in the tech sector and lifelong digital developers
Digital Citizen – looking to support those who are digitally excluded through hardware, data, confidence or apathy. Includes helping those who aren’t moving to a ‘digital first’ outlook to access local services, banking, NHS etc
The commitment is to attend 4 x 1.5 hour Steering Groups a year and 4 x 1.5 hour Full Partnership meetings a year. In between meetings the chair’s role is to corral their sub group to take forward one initiative at a time for the benefit of the audience that the group represents. E.g. Digital Citizen group might look at how Cities of Learning Badge scheme could be used to match young people with digital volunteering in their communities perhaps supporting a local Care Home.
In addition to the two chair roles, there is an pen invite for business and the third sector to join any of the Digital Skills Partnership four focus groups ( Developing in Digital, the Digital Student, the Digital Professional or the Digital Citizen) for further information please drop Charlotte a line on email@example.com
